Coaching

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
– John 10:10

My passion is to see God’s children THRIVE. I grew up in the Rocky Mountain wilderness in the USA. After finishing my university studies, I spent the following years serving in Central Asia and Africa. A series of challenging circumstances lead me to meet my husband and move to Germany where we now live and serve. Often on my journey I have found myself merely surviving. I long to mesh my experiences from working in the developing world among the unreached with the competencies of coaching to support those who are facing challenges in their journey. I am convinced that we were made for more. To THRIVE. As an adventure coach, I step alongside you in your journey of facing choices, challenges, crises, forming a vision, starting a new season, overcoming obstacles, transition, and conflict and we take it on together. You bring the challenge or goal you want to achieve and come to our time together with a heart willing to be stretched. I then provide strategies needed to achieve a new PERSPECTIVE. My role is not to hand you a solution, instead I am tasked with the objective to guide you to the new PERSPECTIVE you need to find it for yourself.

I offer a variety of Intercultural Adventure Coaching sessions for individuals, couples, families, and teams…
– needing support forming and reaching a vision through identifying critical resources, prioritizing and forming goals, and planning action steps
– aiming at increased capacity to thrive in a cross-cultural marriage, on a cross-cultural team, or in a foreign culture
– needing companionship and support to move forward after a crisis, loss, or time of suffering
– desiring unity, change, or new perspectives
– longing to grow in skill set, overcome obstacles, complete a hard task
– finding courage, competence, and creative new solutions

Pick your setting

At the Cafe

Perhaps your personality or desire is to sit down over a delicious cup of hand roasted coffee (or tea) and have an intentional conversation that strives to help you win a new perspective and helps you move forward, heal, or grow.

At the Walnut Tree

Come with me on a coaching adventure where we explore our potential through being active. We can process decisions needing to be made and challenges to be overcome, we can form a vision and set goals to reach it together. My methods take us outside into creation and require a physical and intentionally structured activeness that will seek to bring us to a place we can overcome, breakthrough, and thrive.

• 1.5-hour walk and coaching session at the Walnut tree.

• 4-hour coaching hike through the hills, fields, and forests (including an ice cream shop break in the middle).

Active Adventure Coaching

If being outdoors in nature gives you life and energy then this might be the best option for you. Some learn and process by hearing and thinking, others however learn and process best by living it out. When we do something, we have never done before it can bring us to our limit. That is where risk comes into play as well as opportunity to grow in unexpected ways. Endurance, courage, and confidence can be discovered and this can impact how we go about making decisions and setting goals. I take the core foundations of coaching and weave them into active adventure. Instead of sitting over a cup of coffee wrestling with hard questions in conversation we will hit the trail and explore your current wrestling’s while hiking through the wilderness. Whether one on one or as a group heading outdoors and experiencing different challenges that are relevant to overcoming and growing in the topics you choose to explore can lead to brand new perspectives, action steps, and solutions.

• One Day Hike

• Two Day Trek (Currently only available to women, families, and mixed groups/teams)

Ropes / Climbing

Discover new places and new perspectives, gain confidence and courage, explore what is and what can be. This is adventure coaching. You are the expert in your life. This journey, called life, is an Adventure! Let me join you on your path. We can take the topics you are wrestling with and process them while learning to climb a tree into its heights or build a zipline to cross what was once uncrossable. Creative possibilities of how to find solutions, not give up, or discover next steps are endless as is what is possible when we have a new perspective. Perhaps some time in the forest with ropes and an open heart could make a difference in where you are standing in your journey?
