The Oasis
We are located in the rolling hills of Kraichgau, Southern Germany about 1.5 hours from Frankfurt or Stuttgart International Airports. We are easily accessible by Public transport.
Note: We are opening up our private home to host you. We are not a hotel, AirBnB or guesthouse
The Main House
The main house is located on the edge of a small village tucked away in rolling hills and forests. You can quickly access hiking paths, castle ruins, playgrounds, and a small stream. We strive to personalize your stay to meet your individual needs whether coming alone, as a couple, family, with small children or infants, or as a small team. We have the running capacity to comfortably sleep 6 and can make room for more if needed.
The house has three bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. All bedding and towels are provided. Downstairs is an open dining and living area with space to relax by the fire, play games, puzzle, watch movies, etc. Our kitchen is fully equipped and before your arrival we will make sure the pantry and fridge are stocked to meet your basic needs. We try to provide fresh, organic, local, plastic free, and handmade products. Seasonal fruit and veggies will be provided, when possible, from our garden. You will have access to a washing machine and laundry soap. You have full access to the small garden and courtyard including a covered area so that grilling, playing and relaxing outside is still possible when raining. Your host lives on the ground floor of the Oasis and is available to meet your needs.
The Barn
10 minutes from the Oasis is our old family barn. A sanctuary for rare bees, bats, birds, and our first Oasis pet, ‘Spots’ the bunny. Come by for afternoon coffee time and enjoy homemade ice cream, coffee, tea, lemonade, and other treats. Or enjoy an evening of grilling, Vikings chess, and bread on a stick by the fire in our yard.
The Walnut Tree
A gentle 20-minute walk from the Oasis is a small meadow hidden in the rolling hills outside the village. A large walnut tree offers shade as well as a great view of the surrounding fields and forests. This is a great place to soak in the stillness of nature, picnic, read a good book, sit around a camp fire, play, and star gaze. In the right season, you can also harvest apples, plumps, and cherries! We are currently working on adding a playground, bench, and rope swing so that children can also go on a great adventure and enjoy time out in nature.
